I only book one birth per calendar month to ensure I never double-book. My birth clients are prioritized above all other session types, and if labor starts when I have another client scheduled, I reschedule the client.

I photograph the birth event itself, from the snuggles with your partner during labor, to nurse checks and the details of your space. I photograph the actual birth as it’s happening and capture baby’s first breath, as well as mom and dad’s first time holding baby. Footprints, cord clamping, and skin-to-skin are all captured, as well as vitals and the first feeding. I typically stay for 1-2 hours after birth until mom is ready for some rest.

I am available for both Del Rio and Uvalde Memorial. Last minute diversions to San Antonio may be available depending on scheduling. I do not book San Antonio planned births due to distance and timing of labor.

At 36 weeks of pregnancy, I check in with my clients regularly for updates and am asked to be notified at the first sign of labor. I ask for updates hourly as labor starts and anticipate leaving around 4cm of dilation. Some women may experience precipitous birth that lasts no more than 30 minutes, but this is rare. In the event I’ve missed the birth due to precipitous labor, session fees are transferred to a Fresh-48, Newborn Lifestyle, with partial refund of remainder.

Absolutely not! Using camera angles, I photograph the details without the nudity. All images are private and not shared without explicit consent. I also do not photograph private parts of newborns, utilizing creative angles and cropping to ensure images do not contain nudity.

A Fresh-48 is a session completed in the hospital during your birth stay after the baby is born. These typically occur on day 2 of life and are the perfect opportunity to capture baby’s first bath and swaddled snuggles, as well as a sibling’s first meeting, bassinet photos, and details. These sessions have priority editing included to be able to post announcements as soon as possible.
