The All-in-One Burgundy

Maternity FAQs

Every woman is different, but the ideal timing for a photo session is between 28-32 weeks. Before 28 weeks, the belly isn’t quite as round. After 32 weeks, a mother may have some additional swelling and may find it more difficult to get to locations and position herself in ideal poses for maternity photos. Some women may be able to photograph up until labor, but ideal timing would be in those golden weeks between 28-32 weeks.
Yes! I do offer a selection of maternity dresses in various styles and sizes. Message me for photos and details.
The best maternity dresses are stretchy to allow for all body types. I have some dresses for use during a session, or you can purchase your own. It’s important when purchasing a dress to ensure you are buying a dress that highlights the belly and hides any features you don’t wish to highlight. If your arms are swollen, a dress with sleeves would be ideal. If thighs are a concern, stay away from mermaid dresses. I’m always here to discuss dress options, feel free to message me to discuss.
There are a lot of maternity dress options. Many of my moms have bought from Amazon with good outcomes. Other affordable brands I highly recommend are Chicaboo for form fitting high-end dresses or Baltic Born for more of a flowy movement inspiring dress. Yes! For additional family, I recommend booking a longer session time (60+ minutes) to allow both family images as well as solo images and images with your partner. Families are always encouraged to participate in maternity photos.
